How do I Get Rid of Bed Bugs for Good—Clinton, SC
This story is about a small town, south of Clemson, South Carolina. A family that lived in Clinton had purchased a second home at Lake Murray that summer. They had spent several weeks at the home and really loved their new vacation home. The wife had been the one that had gone out and found furnishings for the home. As with many people she had never experienced bed bugs nor even considered them to be an issue. She had found everything she needed at second hand stores, or off of Craigslist or Offerup.

K9 Bed Bug Inspection
We had our K-9 team scan both homes. They found that a recliner at the lake home was infested, but bedbugs were also found in the couch and on one of the beds. At the main house K9 team did not alert, but the family wanted it treated just in case the K9 team missed a bug. This doesn’t happen often, but it can happen as neither dogs nor human handlers are perfect. Both homes were treated and the family was happy that the treatments were a one-day process so they could get back to their normal life. We did remind them that any friends that had stayed at the lake house needed to be made aware of the problem and to check their own homes to be sure they hadn’t accidently taken it home with them.
Thankfully none of their friends or family seemed to have been infected. As always we advised that they not have lake house guests until K9 team rescanned it in thirty days and cleared it. Our warranty extends beyond the thirty days, but to prevent accidently infesting other people it is best to wait for the K9 team to check it first. The inspection passed and they were thrilled to be back at the lake house enjoying the end of summer lazy days. Having this experience taught this family everything they never wanted to know about bed bugs and I’m quite sure they will not buy any used household items for some time.
